Charles Achonwa was Born on the 2nd of February 1952. He is called by God to be a trainer. He majors in Hearing from God with special emphasis on destiny discovery, development, and delivery. He also helps to optimize the Impact of the service rendered by individuals, teams, and Organizations. His core vision is to make, motivate, mobilize, and multiply servants for God like Christ.

He delivered his first Christian Service message in February 1971. He was privileged to be a training secretary of FCS (Fellowship of Christian Students 1978-1981) and NIFES (Nigeria Fellowship of Evangelical Students 1981-1987).

He functioned in and directed Evangelistic programs in the Anglican Diocese of Kwara (covering from Ilorin to Kayama and from Ilorin to Beyond Lokoja), Leading the Diocesan Evangelism Executive Committee from 1987 to 1990.

He helped to direct Christ Revivals and Crusades for Pastor E. A. Adeboye and the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) 1990-1993.

He founded the Christian Service Commission in 1990, which evolved into the Doulos Ministries in 1993. As founding General Overseer for 20 years, he handed over to another General Overseer in 2010. He has authored more than a hundred manuals and books. He is a songwriter who has over 20 albums to his name. In addition to that, he released 70 new songs on his 70th Birthday.

He was also involved in corporate training where he was privileged to facilitate intensive sessions for the senate and other staff of the University of Nigeria Nsuka and Enugu Campuses. He also trained the Management and Managers of the Standards Organization of Nigeria. The Executives and House of Reps of Akwa Ibom State, Several Banks, and Finance Houses also benefited from his training sessions. Quite several other business organizations benefited from his training programs from 1996-1999. His teaching and training Ministry has taken him to over 50 nations of the world.

He now devotes his time to training online and onsite, mainly focusing on mentoring Younger Christian Leaders. He also devotes his time to building the impact institutes in and outside Nigeria.

Charles Achonwa excelled in Sports at School, state, and National levels. He featured in his school's Athletics, Football, Hockey, and Cricket Teams at Government Secondary School Afikpo. He also played Cricket and Hockey in the University of Nigeria Nsuka and East Central State Teams. His passion for sport also led him to play Cricket at the National Level. Charles Achonwa Holds a Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology and a Master's in Business Administration. He is married to Pastor Ngozi Achonwa. They are blessed with sons, daughters, and grandchildren.
